David Benavente is widely considered one of the top working bonsai professionals in Europe. He has won numerous awards including the prestigious Noelanders Trophy, held annually in Genk, Belgium. A striking aspect of this garden is how meticulously clean and organized it is, with every area and corner perfectly manicured and kept free of debris. Mr. Benavente works with a wide range of species focusing mostly on endemic conifers such as pinus sylvestris and taxus baccata. Although his work is highly influenced by Japanese aesthetics, his trees still express his own unique, singular vision.
