Bill Valavanis, renowned bonsai artist, teacher, scholar and author is the proprietor of the International Bonsai Arboretum which is a destination worldwide for bonsai professionals and enthusiasts alike. The arboretum houses many different species of trees focusing on a wide array of Japanese maple cultivars. Several, and by now iconic, American bonsai masterpices grace the benches of this garden. Inside in the studio, there is a formal tokonoma display that Bill changes often to reflect the seasons or even the mood of the day. For half a century, Bill has practiced and taught classical bonsai aesthetic values worldwide.
